What is a Plus Code?

A Plus Code (also called Open Location Code or OLC) is Google's alternative addressing system for places without a street address. Instead of "48.8584, 2.2945", a Plus Code expresses the same location as 8FW4V75V+8Q — a compact alphanumeric code that encodes a small geographic area.

Plus Codes are used in countries with informal addressing systems and are built into Google Maps on Android. A 10-character code represents an area of approximately 14 × 14 metres.

Plus Code format

GPSwitch accepts both formats. For local codes, provide the reference city or paste the full code.
